The R1 performance package is the perfect entry level performance upgrade for the Mercedes-Benz 190 - AMG GT R. The R1 features our proprietary ECU tune for the new 4.0L V8 BiTurbo M178 Mercedes-AMG engine, which gains up to +60 HP and +83 LB-FT, based on power numbers measured by RENNtech.

In addition to our ECU tune, the R1 package comes with our stainless steel downpipes with 200 cell sport catalytic converters. Our downpipes are designed and manufactured at the RENNtech Headquarters in Stuart, Florida. RENNtech exhaust products are ceramic coated to reduce heat in the engine compartment as well as combat against thermal stress.

Also included in the R1 Performance Package for the 190 AMG GT R, are the RENNtech Blow-Off Valve Adapters and a set of two high-flow air filters for the M178 engine.

The R1 performance package increases performance to 669 hp and 624 lb/ft without sacrificing daily driver comfort or reliability.

Notes:

• We have found the M178 engine stock performance numbers vary from the baseline figures claimed by Mercedes Benz. We typically see higher baseline numbers than claimed by the factory.
• Power gains are calculated based on stock numbers measured by RENNtech. Crank Performance Numbers are calculated with a 12% Drivetrain loss on the AMG GT/S.
• Our numbers will be dependent on conditions and fuel quality. 93+ Octane gasoline is mandatory with this Performance Upgrade.
