The R1 E Performance Package is the entry point into the RENNtech R-line for the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 E-Performance Coupe. It takes the C192 from 762 HP and 851 LB-FT to 971 HP and 931 LB-FT, and it does it on standard 93 octane pump gas without touching the hardware that makes the car a daily driver.

At the centre of the package is our proprietary ECU upgrade for the 4.0L V8 BiTurbo M177 engine. It is developed in house on our own dyno, car by car, and it holds both the RENNtech file and your original factory file, so the car can be returned to stock through the OBD2 port whenever you want: for a service visit, for a sale, or for no reason at all.

The package also includes the RENNtech Exhaust Valve Module. The EVM gives you full control of the AMG sport exhaust valves on demand, independently of the drive mode the car is in, so you decide whether the V8 announces itself or keeps quiet when you leave at six in the morning.

Completing the R1 are the RENNtech Blow-Off Valve Adapters and a set of BMC high-flow air filters for the M177. The adapters relocate the blow-off valves so the compressed air is released where it belongs, and the BMC filters let the turbochargers draw the air the calibration is expecting. Both are reusable, and both are part of the reason the R1 holds its numbers pull after pull rather than only on the first one.

The R1 E Performance Package increases performance without sacrificing drivability, comfort or reliability, and every component in it is reversible.

Notes:

• We have found that dyno results on the M177 engine often exceed the figures published by Mercedes-Benz, so we measure our own stock baseline on every car before any calibration work begins.
• Power gains are calculated against the stock numbers measured by RENNtech, not against the factory rating.
• Results will depend on conditions and fuel quality. 93+ octane gasoline is mandatory with this performance upgrade.
